What is The Sign-On?
The Sign-On is a $100 purchase that reserves two permanent spots in the Lyra Records discography. Each spot represents one original song — written and released in collaboration with you, credited under your name on Spotify, Apple Music, and all major streaming platforms.
What happens after I purchase?
Upon purchase, you will receive an Architectural Brief; with an immediate line of communication directly with Lyra Records. This is your channel to submit your intent, recordings, or story to the label — and we build your song together from there. If you're not ready yet, that's fine. Your spots are reserved and waiting whenever you are.
Is there a deadline to use my spots?
No. Your spots never expire. There is no time pressure. Use them this week or years from now — they're yours permanently from the moment you sign on.
How will I be credited?
Your “Prompted By” credit appears in the song title on every major streaming platform, permanently. Credits require your legal first and last name — no handles, pseudonyms, or initials. If a human won't sign it, we won't house it. This is how we keep the discography honest and every credit meaningful.
What if I already have recordings?
Send them over. If you're already a musician, Lyra Records will handle distribution and ensure your name is on the record exactly as it should be. By submitting recordings, you confirm you own or have the rights to all audio provided.
Who has final say on what gets released?
Lyra Records retains final creative and release decisions on all songs. We collaborate closely with every signed artist, but we reserve the right to decline any prompt or submission that contains prohibited content or does not meet our standards. If we can't move forward with a submission, we'll reach out directly to discuss options.
Will I earn royalties?
Lyra Records is actively working toward a royalty structure that benefits credited artists in our discography. This is a core part of our long-term vision. It is not a current guarantee, and no royalty payments are promised or owed at this time. We will notify all signed artists directly if and when this changes.
Can I get a refund?
All purchases are non-refundable. Your spots are reserved permanently upon purchase. If you have concerns before submitting, reach out first.
Is this a commission for a private song?
No. This is authorship-by-influence. Your song is released publicly on all major streaming platforms as part of the Lyra Records discography. You are not purchasing a private track — you are becoming a permanent part of a real, growing body of work.
