Welcome to Lyra Records. By accessing our website or purchasing any product, including The Sign-On, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Overview

Lyra Records is an independent music label based in Phoenix, Arizona. We offer participatory creative experiences that result in real, publicly released music. Our flagship offering, The Sign-On, grants participants permanent credited spots in the Lyra Records discography.

2. The Sign-On

What You're Purchasing:
The Sign-On is a one-time purchase that grants you two permanent spots in the Lyra Records discography. Your spots do not expire. There is no time limit on when you may use them.

What a Spot Includes:
Each spot represents one original song released publicly on Spotify, Apple Music, and other major streaming platforms, with your chosen credit name appearing in the song title.

Collaboration:
Lyra Records works with you — not for you. Songs are created through a real collaborative process. You are not purchasing an automated or instant song generation service. Timelines vary based on the nature of the collaboration.

Musician Submissions:
If you provide your own recording, you represent that you own or have the rights to all audio submitted. By submitting a recording, you grant Lyra Records a perpetual, worldwide license to distribute, release, and publicly perform that recording under your credited name.

Creative Control:
Lyra Records retains final creative and release decisions on all songs. We reserve the right to decline any prompt or submission that contains prohibited content (see Section 5).

Attribution:
Your credit name will appear in the song title on all streaming platforms exactly as provided at the time of submission.

3. Credit Name Policy

All "Prompted By" credits require a legal first and last name. No handles, pseudonyms, initials, or aliases will be accepted.

By submitting a credit name, you confirm that it is your legal name and that you consent to its use on all release platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and any other distribution channels used by Lyra Records.

If a human won't sign it, we won't house it. This policy exists to protect the integrity of the discography and ensure every credit represents a real, accountable person. Lyra Records reserves the right to withhold or delay a release if a submitted credit name does not meet this requirement.

4. Royalties

Lyra Records is actively working toward a royalty structure that benefits credited artists in our discography. This is a stated goal of the label and a core part of our long-term vision. It is not a current guarantee, and no royalty payments are promised or owed under these terms at this time. We will communicate any changes to this policy directly to signed artists as they occur.

5. Non-Refundable Products

All purchases, including The Sign-On, are non-refundable. Your spots are reserved permanently upon purchase. If you have concerns before submitting your prompt or recording, please contact us first.

6. Prohibited Content

You may not submit prompts or recordings that contain hate speech, harassment, or discriminatory content, material that promotes illegal activity, content that infringes on third-party intellectual property rights, or explicit threats or depictions of violence. Lyra Records reserves the right to refuse any submission containing prohibited content without refund.

7. Intellectual Property

Ownership:
All songs produced by Lyra Records remain the intellectual property of Lyra Records. Purchasing The Sign-On does not transfer ownership of any song or recording to the buyer.

Prompt License:
By submitting a prompt or story, you grant Lyra Records a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use that material for creative and distribution purposes.

Our Content:
All content produced by Lyra Records — including songs, images, text, and designs — is protected by copyright. You may not reproduce or distribute our content without prior written consent.

8. Limitation of Liability

Lyra Records is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from use of our services. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to our website or streaming platform availability. We are not responsible for how third-party platforms display, distribute, or monetize released songs.

9. Modifications

Lyra Records reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Signed artists will be notified of any material changes affecting their credits or royalty status.
